DAILY CONTEMPLATION

December 21, 2025 ~ Kiahk 12, 1742

We are making our way to great things, let us receive the little things, and we shall be great…
Believe the commandments of God, and do them, and He will give you the strength of understanding.
Do not prefer knowledge to the commandments of God,
lest you be only the lower, and none the more firmly rooted.
Consider a tree; first it strikes downwards, that it may grow up on high;
it fixes its root low in the ground, that it may extend its top to heaven.
Does it make an effort to grow except from humiliation?
And would you, without charity, comprehend these transcendent matters, shoot toward heaven without a root?
This would be a ruin, not a growing.
With Christ then dwelling in your hearts by faith, be rooted and grounded in charity,
that you may be filled with all the fullness of God (Eph 3:17-19) …
[When He said] “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am,
that they may behold My glory which You have given Me;
for You loved Me before the foundation of the world” (Jn 17:24),
He meant [in a way], “You will not restore to Me something which I never lost,
but You will restore to these, who have lost it, the knowledge of that glory.”
